ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Amanda has been teaching yoga since 2009 and has attended multiple yoga teacher training courses: 500 hour Hatha, 200 hour Kundalini, 100 hour Iyengar (IYISF), 85 hour Prenatal, 80 hour Restorative. In addition, she has completed 800 hours of continuing education coursework in various subjects, including Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Hatha, Gentle, Yin, Yoga Nidra, and has had the privilege of studying with renowned teachers such as Judith Hanson Lasater and David Swenson. It is her love of learning that led Amanda to found Spira Yoga School. She currently holds the Yoga Alliance designations of Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level, Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher, and Continuing Education Provider.
With over 4,500 hours of teaching experience, Amanda brings to the training classroom practical knowledge and a willingness to share with others. She pulls from her expansive studies and diverse background to help bridge gaps for yoga teachers with varying educational histories. Whether you teach within a specific lineage or you teach to the beat of your own drum, her courses are sure to illuminate your understandings of yoga, inspire your uniqueness in the yoga classroom and strengthen your skill set as a yoga teacher.
In addition to teaching weekly classes, Amanda also offers workshops, masterclasses, continuing education classes, and yoga teacher training courses at various studios in Northern California. Amanda is grateful for the bounty of gifts given to her by the practice and lifestyle of yoga and is awed when hearing stories of transformation from others.
